I find it best to work intuitively. I don't plan beyond a central object, a thumbnail sketch of a figure, a building or a vehicle, then I create a world around that object. To me it's like an emotionally charged performance. The blank canvas is a very exciting sight. Anything can happen. I draw and paint directly on canvas. It's a risky method. A whole day of work can be destroyed in minutes, but there is a reward. Practice of art provides a measurable space to move without fear and anxiety and an exit when you feel like it.

In my view, art and music (to some extent) have to speak on their own terms without any conceptual framework. Visual art and music are forms of a language that is actual tangible, visual, or audible content it has to indicate rather than state.
